Mnegintegrasikan PBX dan IP-PBX

Banyak perusahaan multilokasi mempunyai peralatan telekomunikasi dari banyak vendor yang tidak menyediakan jalan untuk migrasi ke paltform konvergensi IP. Avaya Enterprise Class IP Solution (ECLIPS) memungkinkan  adopsi teknologi IP untuk PABX pihak ketiga dan memungkinkan kemampuan penambahan nilai layanan dari Avaya MultiVantage yang menyediakan sebuah platform untuk aplikasi-aplikasi mendatang yang akan mempercepat operasi-operasi perusahaan.

Avaya memfasilitasi proses migrasi dari PABX MD110  ke Avaya ECLIPS yang menjalankan Software Avaya MultiVantage untuk “call processing”. Hardware minimal yang diperlukan untuk proses migrasi mencakup Avaya S8300 Media Server, Avaya G700 Media Gateway, Avaya IP Telephone dan Avaya GUI administration tool yang  baru.

Konfigurasi pada gambar dibawah mengilustrasikan sebuah ISDN PRI Trunk Connection antara Avaya S8300 Media Server dan Avaya G700 Media Gateway (S8300/G700) yang menjalankan software Avaya MultiVantage yang ditempatkan sebagai tambahan untuk Ericsson MD110.

Koneksi Central Office Utama  untuk solusi ini dibuat melalui Ericsson MD110. Line tambahan Central Office bisa dikoneksikan ke S8300/G700 sehingga memfasilitasi kegunaan Avaya Ekstension ke selular (EC500) dan  fitur-fitur Software Avaya MultiVantage. Dokumen ini mengasumsikan bahwa pembaca mempunyai pengetahuan dasar memprogram platform Multivantage dan MD110. 

Kemampuan kerja sama (interoperabilitas) antara S8300/G700 dan MD110 dan bagaimana menyelesaikannya digambarkan di dalam application note.
